This. Song. Kicks. Ass.

Yes, the most underrated band in Britain are back with an amazing single. Listening to the first 13 seconds, I thought “Shit, The Young Knives have gone all boring slow guitar chord like.” Thank the Lord I was wrong, straight after those first 13 seconds The Young Knives very own brand of jerky pop rock kicks in with bellowing vocals from Henry Dartnall. The band also still prove that they are the funniest band around with the line “It look like Mother Nature’s got herself a whore/With a disregard for health and safety.” I am definitely seeing them at the Underage Festival. Oh, and this new single has the catchiest chorus since Foundations by Kate Nash, even catchier! You can pre-order the new single here, it’s out on the 27th of August and the lovely Trangressive label.

Los Campesinos! – You! Me! Dancing!

Cardiff’s seven piece indie pop outfit, Los Campesinos! release their second single You! Me! Dancing! on Witchita on June the 4th (order 7” here). The single is a re-recording of the demo version of the song which gave Los Campesinos! recognition around the world, including a record deal offer from Australia. I haven’t as of yet, aquired an Mp3 of the new re-recorded version but below is the new video for the single.

The Teenagers – Homecoming

Parisian trio The Teenagers recently released their debut single Homecoming on Merok. The song is the story of a relationship between an English rocker and an American cheerleader, with pretty hilarious lryics.
